The report came in around 9:15 pm, after residents of the seventh floor complained of irritation to their throats and eyes. Ambulance personnel examined seven residents; two of them were taken to the doctor's post, the rest were treated on the spot.

How did Isaiah Ahmed react?

Isaiah Ahmed told Omrop Fryslân that he had to leave his home when the fire department arrived at the door. 'I was playing FIFA and suddenly I heard banging: ‘Open up, fire department!’', he said.

What are the consequences?

The apartment has since been cleaned, although one room remains closed off. The police are investigating how the pepper spray was able to be released on the seventh floor.
