Heerenveen has won the first edition of the Simmer Cup by defeating Greek side Volos FC 3-2. The Frisians remain unbeaten in the preseason. The home team took the lead after a quarter of an hour through a converted penalty by Vente. The ball went on the spot because Machine was brought down during a dribble.
