Heerenveen has received a 5 million euro bid from Braga for midfielder Marcus Linday. Negotiations for a deal are underway, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. It is likely that the initial bid from the Portuguese club will not be accepted. The formal offer appears to be the starting point for further negotiations. Heerenveen can at least make significant profit on Linday. The playmaker has played for the Friezen since the start of 2025, who acquired him for 1.7 million euros from Västerås SK in Sweden, his homeland. Linday was a regular presence this season under Robin Veldman. The right-footed player made 37 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists. Braga, which earlier this season parted ways with Feyenoord in the Europa League, finished fourth in the Liga Portugal. The team will qualify for the Conference League qualifying round in the summer.
