sc Heerenveen will play a friendly match against Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on August 1. It is the last match in the preparation for the next season, the so-called Simmer Cup. This year, the match will be played in the Abe Lenstrastadion with a larger setup. There will be various activities inside and outside the stadium, and live performances will be given before the match. The match will be played at 15.00 and will be free to attend for season ticket holders. Sander Arends was eliminated in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros, just like last year. Together with his doubles partner David Pel, they were too small for the French duo Quentin Halys and Pierre-Hugues Herbert (6-4, 6-4). In the first set, Arends and Pel came out with a 2-0 lead. But the break they made, gave Arends away in his serve game. And so the score came back to even. At 4-4 in the first set, Halys and Herbert broke the service of Pel, making them a 5-4 lead and allowing them to serve. Ultimately, the Frenchmen scored the second set point and thus had to pursue Arends and Pel. The start of the second set was however very bad. Pel gave away his serve game immediately, making the Dutch duo immediately behind the facts. Arends and Pel made more mistakes in the second set, and could not really get closer. Halys and Herbert built up the lead to 5-4 in the second set, and then themselves had to serve for a place in the semifinals. That succeeded and thus the quarterfinals, just like last year, was the end for Arends.
